Reps. Schmick and Dye to host telephone town hall

Washington State Representatives Joe Schmick and Mary Dye will be hosting a telephone town hall for their 9th Legislative District constituents on Thursday, March 21 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Residents interested in joining the community conversation can call 1-800-610-6290 that evening to join in.

“There is a lot going on in the Legislature that our citizens need to know about,” said Schmick, R-Colfax. “Having this event gives us the opportunity to report back to our bosses, the citizens of the 9th District. We also get to hear about the concerns and issues folks are dealing with back home. With a district the size of ours, using this technology allows us to interact with a lot of people, conveniently and efficiently.”

“Our district is full of very engaged citizens who care about legislative issues and know the decisions we make in Olympia can impact them greatly,” said Dye, R-Pomeroy. “We've had great discussions in the past and I look forward to answering questions from constituents across the district.”

Citizens participating in the event will be able to listen to their representatives give an update on the Legislature, ask questions and take part in a survey.

The 105-day 2019 legislative session ends April 28.
