Rep. Joe Schmick, R-Colfax, appears on The Bottom Line with John McKay from KONA Radio. They discuss Gov. Ferguson’s budget priorities and how they contrast with the record tax-increase proposals by legislative Democrats. The governor told them to go back to the drawing board. Schmick also points out that property taxes are one of the main issues his constituents are concerned about. He says he’s hearing from seniors who fear being taxed out of their homes. As the Ranking Member on the House Health Care and Wellness Committee, Schmick expresses his concern that health insurance premiums could skyrocket due to several pieces of legislation proposed by Democrats.
